By sponsoring a scholarship at Cardinal Newman School, you will be helping Cardinal Newman Families receive a superior Catholic education at an affordable cost. You’d be making a great difference in the lives of our students.
There are two general types of scholarships at Cardinal Newman School: Endowed Scholarships and Funded Scholarships.
APPLICATIONS FOR ALL SCHOLARSHIPS BEING OFFERED FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR HAVE BEEN MAILED TO CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE FAMILIES. THE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR ALL SCHOLARSHIPS IS MONDAY, MARCH 15, 2010!
ALL COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE CARDINAL NEWMAN SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT OFFICE BEFORE OR BY NOON ON MONDAY, MARCH 15, 2010.
Endowed Scholarships
Endowed Scholarships are established with a minimum gift of $15,000 to Cardinal Newman School. Named after the donor’s designee, these endowed gifts are held in perpetuity while the interest on the corpus provides for student scholarships. Once the endowed scholarship has been established, anyone can make contributions to further honor the scholarship’s namesake.
Through the generosity of Cardinal Newman families, friends and supporters, the following Endowed Scholarship is available for Cardinal Newman School students:
William C. Earhardt, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Provided by: The Earhardt Family and Cardinal Club
This annual, merit based scholarship awards $1,000 to four students.

Funded Scholarships
Funded Scholarships are funded by the various parent organizations at Cardinal Newman School or other individuals. Little or no endowed funds are held by the School for these scholarships. Award monies are provided directly from the organizations or individuals responsible for these scholarships. Contributions may be made to the funded scholarships in any amount by any individual at any time. Gifts to a funded scholarship are placed in an endowment for that scholarship.
Through the generosity of Cardinal Newman families, friends and supporters, the following Funded Scholarships are available for Cardinal Newman School students:
Bernard Neil Herbkersman Memorial Scholarship
Provided by: The Herbkersman Family
Funds are awarded to students demonstrating a joy for living through active involvement in school and church.

Bobbi Rossi Memorial Fund Scholarship

Tuition assistance provided to a senior who embodies a harmonious balance of character, heart, faith and purpose.

Judith J. Felix Scholarship
Provided by: Mrs. Judy Felix
This scholarship is awarded to a rising freshman who excels in English.
*Please note: There is no application process for this scholarship.
NEW! Spirit of Cardinal Newman Award
Provided by: Cardinal Newman PTO
Created by the Cardinal Newman PTO, this scholarship awards $1,200 to five (5) students. This is the first scholarship that all current CNS students are eligible to apply for.
